“A young woman was standing in the doorway, a woman of such breathtaking beauty that the room seemed to have become strangely airless. She was tall and willowy with long blonde hair and appeared to emanate a faint, silvery glow.”
request by anon: Bill/Fleur’s family
After the Battle of Hogwarts Bill and Fleur had three children: Victoire, Dominique and Louis.
Victoire, the oldest of the three, was born on the anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts, thus her name –‘victory’ in French. Then came their second daughter Dominique and finally, they had a son called Louis (only known male with Veela blood).
- She is 7 years younger than Bill
- She worked for Gringotts
- She fought alongside the Order in the final battle
- She loved Bill unconditionally
- She did not blame Harry in any way for the war and the things she went through during it
- She risked her life alongside everyone else when she Polyjuiced herself into Harry
- She received medals of honor from the French and British ministries of magic for the part she played in the war
- She cared about Harry as a person, unlike most people he met
- She never forgot that Harry saved her sister during the Second Task, and she was forever grateful
- She is completely and utterly perfect in every way
Cedric and Cho Chang orFleur and Bill? (asked by anonymous)
fleur delacour is so important i can’t even put it into words
badass girl whose “most precious” was her sister, who despite what anyone might think of her (cough molly cough ron cough hermione cough) looks past any aesthetic unpleasantries because she is completely and irrevocably in love with bill, who willingly risks her life for harry (the seven harrys, anyone???), who manages to create a spot of brightness in the middle of war (wedding!!!), who is feminine and badass at the same time, who opens her home to an entitled goblin and multiple refugees/runaways, who doesn’t sacrifice one bit of her integrity or character despite the looming threat of war
after the war, the weasleys lean heavily on bill and fleur. though skeptical of their relationship at first, the family sees happiness and hope in the young couple, culminating in fleur’s pregnacy not long after the battle of hogwarts and victoire’s birth on the anniversary of that fateful day. not only was fleur’s daughter a symbol of triumph and victory, but fleur herself was a widely praised figure of bravery for her actions during and after the war. she was awarded medals of honor from both british and french ministries of magic, and would go on to facilitate negotiations between the two countries to aid in the reconstruction of post-war wizarding society. bill, on the other hand, remained on the outskirts of the spotlight, quiet but ever-supportive of his wife. he resumed his old job at gringott’s as a curse-breaker, and frequently traveled back to egypt to explore and work amongst the ruins and tombs there. he wears his hair pulled back when he works, the sun shining over the long jagged scars across his face. and when he comes back laden with presents for his girls, they welcome him back with open arms.
they are survivors, and they are proud to show it off.
Remember old Fleur Delacour? She’s got a job at Gringotts to eemprove ‘er Eeenglish. And Bill’s been giving her a lot of private lessons.
